They treated contaminated aquifers, and E-470, an expressway built along Denver’s eastern edges, extended traffic into the Brighton area. Platte Valley Medical Center and its progressive technology as well as Brighton’s proximity to Denver International Airport (DIA) have contributed greatly to the city’s growth.
On the outskirts of town, there is a 2,000-acre Prairie Center featuring Kohl’s, Home Depot, Super Target, and a Staples fulfillment center. In the city center, shops and restaurants enliven the Brighton Pavilions and the historic area of town.
